Lemmy Jackson, born Otu Udofa, was the sonic architect behind some of Nigeria’s most defining Pop and Reggae records of the 1980s. Trained in both metallurgy and music, he began his career in London as a keyboardist for the band BLO before returning to Nigeria in 1981 to join Time Communications.
There, he produced Oby Onyioha’s "I Want To Feel Your Love" and released his own debut album, "Tonight" blending Afrobeat rhythms with disco and boogie in a style that captured the era’s energy. His sound was sleek yet rooted, giving Nigerian Pop a fresh, modern edge.
Jackson later turned to Reggae, producing landmark hits like Ras Kimono’s "What’s Gwan" and Majek Fashek’s Send Down the Rain, as well as "Wait for Me" a popular duet by Onyeka Onwenu and King Sunny Adé.

Miatta Fahnbulleh was born and raised in Monrovia, Liberia. She is the daughter of H. Boimah Fahnbulleh, former Liberian Ambassador to Sierra Leone. Her mother, Mary Brownell, a women's advocate was one-time Liberia's Goodwill Ambassador for Maternal and Child Health. Miatta is the elder sister of Henry Boimah Fahnbulleh, Jr., a former Foreign Minister and National Security Adviser.
Fahnbulleh graduated from high school in Sierra Leone, where her father was ambassador from Liberia. She wanted to be a singer, but cultural constraints in her home country against women performing in public venues led her to seek opportunities elsewhere. After singing for a time in Monrovia, she then left for the United States in 1968 to study journalism.
While in the United States, Fahnbulleh studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.[13] She also performed, singing at the Apollo Theater in Harlem and working with the Negro Ensemble Company of New York.
In 1973, she visited Liberia to sing at the inauguration of President William R. Tolbert Jr.
In 1977, she performed at the World Black Festival of Arts and Culture, FESTAC 77, in Lagos, Nigeria.
Fahnbulleh moved to England in 1977, where she remained, and performed, for seven years until returning again to Liberia. Since then, she has become a strong advocate for women's and children's issues. She made a bid for the Liberian senate in 2014. As of May 2017, she was the interim coordinator of Concerned Citizens to Protect the Constitution. She features as narrator of the 2016 documentary The Land Beneath Our Feet, on land issues in Liberia.

Ime James is a renowned Nigerian media personality, journalist, all through '80s '90s now a Pastor with a remarkable career spanning over four decades. He began his journey in the media industry in 1979 as an assistant producer at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), where he honed his skills in journalism and production. He further enhanced his expertise with a diploma in Journalism from Times Institute of Journalism, Kakawa, Lagos, and a certificate course at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University).
During his tenure at NTA, Pastor Ime-James pioneered several iconic television programs, including the fashion and beauty magazine "New Trends," the business magazine "The Economy this Week," and the popular marriage counselling program "Adam'n'Eve."

FEMI AKINTUNDE JOHNSON (Faj)
Femi Akintunde-Johnson, popularly called FAJ, enlisted his name in the Nigerian media with forays in editing entertainment pages of The Punch Newspapers and defunct Climax Magazine between 1988 and 1991. He rose to become Editor and Editor-in-Chief of Climax, and other popular titles like Fame, Encomium, New Treasure and TPL consecutively between 1991 and 2015 (the latter four, he co-founded).
An engaging writer and analyst, FAJ is also the mastermind behind four of Nigeria's best-known awards of the 90s: Fame Music Awards (FMA), The Movie Awards (THEMA), The REEL Awards and AMEN.

BENSON TOMOLOJU
Born on 18th December, 1954 in Ilaje Council, the coastal part of Ondo State, Nigeria, Benson Omowafola Tomoloju had his primary education in various parts of the old Western Region between 1960 - 1967 and later attended Christ School, Ado-Ekiti for his School Certificate and Higher School Certificate (HSC) between 1968 - 1974.
He proceed to the University of Ibadan and graduated with a degree in English and Literary Studies in 1978.
In 1980, he established KAKAAKI Performers as a training workshop for young artistes, most of whom are now national icons.
Ben is a cultural activist and has represented Nigeria in major international fora in the USA, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Morocco, Ghana, Cote De Voire and German.
His plays have also been performed in some of these countries.
His role in the development of Journalism in Nigeria clearly shows the masonry of a visionary intent upon building a viable legacy for future generations of professional's arts journalists.
More copiously, his plays, published and unpublished, celebrate the rites of rights of posterity with "the child" at the center of their philosophical articulation.
He worked at various times with the Nigerian Television Authority, Makurdi for his National Youth Service, The Punch Newspaper, The Democrat Weekly and was pioneer Arts Editor and later Deputy Editor of the Guardian where he ensured he championed the professionalism of Arts Journalism in Nigeria.

Ahuja Bello (born Ismaila Dele Bello, August 24, 1942 – August 25, 2025) was a legendary Nigerian Juju musician, vocalist, and guitarist from Iseyin, Oyo State. Rising to fame in the 1970s and 1980s, he was celebrated for his striking vocal and physical resemblance to King Sunny Ade.
Ahuja Bello was born in Isale Iseyin, Oyo State, on August 24, 1942.
Attended Baptist Primary School and Baptist Secondary Modern School in Iseyin.
Moved to Lagos in 1963 to train as an electronic technician (TV & Radios ).
He began his music career under Elegbede and Expensive Olubi, as a vocalist and sound engineer.
Later joined KSA's African Beats Band
On arrival his expertise in sound engineering made King Sunny Ade to nickname him after popular vocal amplifier "Ahuja Bello"
In 1976, he established his own group, Ahuja Bello and His Golden Eagles Band.

Chief Tony Okoroji, simply known and called Tony Okoroji is a Nigerian musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, author and intellectual property activist.
In his early years, late '70/early '80, Tony Okoroji released a popular album titled "Julianan" on EMI Records, Nigeria.
